gurha weekend tournament

Greer/Greenville

GURHA Hosts inaugural weekend tournament feb. 12-14, 2021

Our first-ever weekend hockey tournament that took place Feb. 12-14 at The Ice Station in downtown Greer, SC, was a resounding success.

So many people contributed to the success of that weekend, from the players that traveled from as far away as Charleston, to the fans who cheered from the bleachers. Thank you Jimmy Tillery for recruiting players. Thank you George Fowler, rink manager, for keeping the facility in great working order. Thank you Madison and Kristine Seddinger for performing the national anthem before both championship games. And thank you Vaughn Bragg, owner and operator of Pour Sports Pub & Grille, our tournament sponsor.

Congratulations to the winning team in our Upper Division: Banana Bunch defeated the Charlotte Kings!

MVP was Mike Marino from Greenville!
